Cancelled after 1-2 films, purely because the selection was abysmal. I love the idea of a horror-centric exclusive platform, but I think they pride themselves of the "exclusive" tag abit too much.Connection wise, it's been fine, and cancelling my trial was easy (Although im now aware of the post-cancellation charges some people have made) But for the most part, it's not a service I can recommend with it's minimal library.

Signed up originally on the website, got two months free by attempting to cancel right away, offered an extra free month, took it, then cancelled anyway. Can’t log into shudder app/site anymore. Password reset email won’t send either. So that’s why I gave it three stars. Needs to be fixed. We have since had the one week trial on Apple TV and Amazon and I’m sure very soon, pay the $4.99. I don’t think you can link Apple TV or Amazon to the app and it is totally separate but may still be cheating but there you have it, it is allowed apparently.

Actually had a decent experience with Shudder, signed up to watch some good horror movies and that’s what I got, after seeing negative reviews I cancelled the 7 day trail and absolutely no issues, was super easy to cancel and was never charged later on, if your looking for a horror subscription I’d give it a look over.

I missed the cut-off to cancel my free trial period (my fault) so am still using. Pros: A streaming site dedicated solely to horrors, some of which are normally hard to locate. Cons: There's no app so Shudder can only be used on the website itself; which is a bit of a let down in this day and age. I do not trust the movie reviews from other users, I feel they are not honest as the majority of movies have high ratings, even the god awful movies. I also cannot see the reviews I have left which is very disappointing that clearly they are manipulating the scoring.

Shudder is "Bloody" greatIf you like horror and good quality content I would highly recommend. Watch it way more than Netflix at the moment mainly because I don't like the horror on there, to many jump scare films.It's a real shame that people have had issues with cancelling their subscription after the 7 day trial because the quality is up there.Don't believe all the negativity!!

If horror movies is your "THING" Shudder is "IT"...

UPDATE: Had to hassle them but they refunded me in the end. So I amend to a 3, can't go higher than a 3 as there was definitely some friction. Moral: If someone gives you money by accident, give it back when they ask for it.UPDATE: They have now agreed the refund, when it lands in my account I will update this review accordingly. I started my free trial to watch one programme. I never intended to renew. I didn't like the service so I tried to cancel that first day. A month later I was charged the renewal fee. At this point I logged back in for the first time ever to check if it was cancelled. I went through the cancellation process again and realised that I must not have completed the process successfully last time because at the end of the process they make the final confirmation a dark plain text link on a dark background and a message that says "We are sorry to see you go" or something similar that makes it looks like you have left.No problem, I thought, I am sure if they are a reputable company it will just take an email to get a refund, after all what sort of company relies on snakey cancellation system to unwittingly extract money from people who never had any intention of renewing and only used the service once during the month trial? However they refused to refund, and basically said admitted that they do take money from people who never had any intention of giving it to them and got nothing in return. Hopefully it is all a mix up and I will be refunded soon, if I am I will amend the review accordingly, so for now, if you are seeing this they ripped me off and kept my money and you should avoid their "free trial"Is it worth all the hassle over a fiver? :)

I don’t why the below reviews are here, I can only suspect it’s a pissy customer creating multiple profiles to get back. Cancellation was as easy as going on the site and clicking unsubscribe. To double check I emailed Shudder to confirm who got back to me within 24 hours. Easy. Don’t know what the drama is all about.

Shudder is cool it’s just the searching for the movies suck they need to be able to just put the list of movies instead of going to page to page to page just to try and find a movie
