Have now received the refund I referred to in my previous review

We had a brilliant stay in a villa at Boa Vista Resort for 2 weeks in August. The villa was immaculate and the resort was well maintained and the golf course looked in top condition. We enjoyed all the top quality facilities, BBQ. Cinema room and games room and the pool was a good size.The area has lots of lovely beaches and it is close enough to Lagos for shopping and its many restaurants and marina. We were a party of 6. The agent Amanda was very professional and looked after us and ensured everything Nr ran smoothly with our stay. O would thoroughly recommend this resort . We would not hesitate to return and would thoroughly recommend it.

I have now resolved this with the owner not all the fault lay with VRBO I would give this site zero if the option were available, I booked a villa with HomeAway in 2019 for a holiday March 2020 we couldn't fly due to the Covid lockdown so instead of cancelling we rescheduled it with the host to 2021 and again due to covid restrictions rescheduled to 2022, due to personal circumstances and Covid restrictions we want to cancel the now VRBO are saying I have to claim a refund from the host who also has not yet been paid by VRBO so this means VRBO are holding the monies but just dont want to pay anybody DO NOT BOOK VIA VRBO

Thanks for asking. We have rented this house out several times back to when the owner Jan, who lived next door was still alive. It has always been our favorite house to rent all along the coast , and when Jan died, we wished we could have afforded to buy it, because we would have. The only thing that I would do differently, and perhaps you've already done it, is change the mattress in the smaller room. It was or still is terribly uncomfortable.

Edit: 1/15/2022I am updating from 1 star to 3 star. They are not a scam, as I originally thought I will never get my refund. VRBO customer service noticed my review and responded here. And followed this up with a refund. The entire experience with customer service was difficult, but at least they noticed the negative review and fixed one part of it. *******Original comments:VRBO customer service is the WORST I have ever experienced. DON’T EVER book through them. I made a reservation in December 2021. Reached property at 10 pm. Could not get in because the owner never provided us the access code to the property. Called owner and VRBO several times but no response from either. VRBO site says 24/7 support but there was no one to answer the phone. Finally gave up to get a hotel room at midnight and paid twice as much. Then called VRBO for a refund. They said they really can’t do anything and I’d have to work directly with the owner, to get a refund. Fortunatelyfor me, the owner refunded their portion of the amount. I then expected VRBO to automatically refund their portion of the amount. After waiting for three weeks, I had to chase them down to get back their portion of the amount. I called them several times. The whole experience has been frustrating. They kept me waiting, then got disconnected twice!! I’m not sure if you can get disconnected twice with two different agents or if they are just hanging up?? The customer service reps cannot address any issue they just take notes and say that they will pass on the message to another department. Then you just start the process over again the next time. It’s just a pain and I don’t know if I’m going to see my money back from them. Don’t ever book through VRBO. It’s a SCAM.

I had posted some negative reviews ( I have removed them) here as I believed this company had not refunded a booking charge for a cancelled holiday.This company had 100% done the right thing- the issue was with my credit card company.So, although disappointed that the owners cancelled, I realise this was not VRBO’s fault and they DID abide by their guarantee regarding refunds.

Great experience. We'll be back.Booking was easy. Clear instructions was given for parking, arrival, departure. We were checked in on by text and phone to make sure everything was good. Great place, service & communication was excellent.

We booked accommodation in Leicester UK through Vrbo, and having never heard of the company before were a little worried, but for no reason...The booking was easy, the App works great and our host and accommodation were both fantastic. Will be checking for places to stay with Vrbo everytime in future

Great property! Wonderful experience. Very responsive owners. Clean and well stocked home. We hope to stay here again next year when we visit.
